Who We Are

Concerned Citizens of Memphis (CCofM) is a community-driven 501c3 nonprofit organization that has been serving the Memphis area for more than 26 years, providing food, resources, hope, and support to individuals and families experiencing hardship. What began as a mission to feed the hungry has evolved into a broader commitment to addressing some of our community's most pressing challenges, including housing instability, poverty, aging populations, and support for veterans and vulnerable adults.

At CCofM, we believe that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and a safe place to call home. Our work is rooted in compassion, service, and the belief that strong communities are built when we care for those who need it most. Through food assistance, community outreach, resource navigation, and our expanding Independent Non-Medical Housing for Veterans initiative, we help individuals move from crisis toward stability and self-sufficiency.

What sets CCofM apart is our deep connection to the community we serve. We don't simply provide services; we build relationships, listen to needs, and develop solutions that create lasting impact. By combining housing support, community partnerships, volunteer engagement, and person-centered care, we are creating pathways to independence for veterans, older adults, and underserved individuals throughout Memphis.
